Davide Chiumiento (born November 22, 1984 in Heiden AR ) is an Italian - Swiss football player . He plays in the central midfield.
Career
From 2003 Chiumiento was a professional with a contract with Juventus Turin . In the 2003/04 season, however, he only played once in Serie A for Juve . Therefore, he was loaned to AC Siena for one year in the 2004/05 season and to Le Mans UC 72 for the 05/06 season. At both clubs he did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player. In total, he has completed 15 games in Serie A and 17 games in Ligue 1 , where he was able to score one goal each.
In response to inquiries from both associations, he decided to play internationally for the Swiss Football Association. There Chiumiento was a regular in the U-21 selection; he came to 11 missions in this.
In August Davide Chiumiento was loaned out again; this time to the Swiss club BSC Young Boys .
On June 15, 2007, FC Luzern announced the commitment of Chiumientos. He signed a contract with FCL until June 30, 2010, where he became a regular and key player and made 34 season appearances, in which he scored twice and submitted seven times.
After a long wait, it was announced on May 22nd, 2010 that he will be leaving FC Luzern. The salary demands were too high for FC Luzern. He then moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American Major League Soccer .
For the 2012/13 season he moved back to Switzerland to FC Zurich , where he played until 2017.
