Davide Taini (born December 7, 1976 ) is a former Swiss football player. He played in the position of goalkeeper , most recently with the Super League participant Grasshopper Club Zurich .
Career
Davide Taini moved from FC Winterthur to FC Zurich during the summer break in 2001 . After a year Taini prevailed as number 1 of the city club against Miroslav König . After two years as a regular player, he had to give up his place to the aspiring Johnny Leoni .
From the 2006/07 season Taini played for FC Wil , where he was the goalkeeper until the 2010/11 season. He also teaches sports at the Winterthur vocational school.
In 2011 Taini got another chance to play in the Super League , returning to his youth club Grasshopper Club Zurich as number 2 behind Roman Bürki . At the end of the 2013/14 season, he ended his playing career. He has been back at FC Zurich since the 2015/16 season, as a goalkeeping coach.
