The Davies Bay is a bay about 15 km in diameter in the Oates Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies between the Drake Head and Cape Kinsey .
She was discovered by Lieutenant Harry Lewin Lee Pennell (1882-1916), a crew member of the Terra Nova during the Antarctic expedition of the same name (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . The bay is named after Francis Edward Charles Davies (1885–1952), the Terra Nova ship's carpenter .
