The Davis Bluff is a 400 m high rocky cliff on the east coast of White Iceland in the Antarctic Ross Archipelago . It rises 3 km northeast of Isolation Point .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff in 2005 after the American marine biologist Randall W. Davis of Texas A&M University , who studied the Weddell seals in the McMurdo Sound area including White Island from 1977 to 2003 .
