The Davis Valley is an ice-free valley in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the northeastern Dufek massif of the Pensacola Mountains , it is located immediately east of the Forlidas Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the valley using its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Edward H. Davis, a construction mechanic at Ellsworth Station in the Antarctic winter of 1957 .
