Davy Commeyne (born May 14, 1980 in Roeselare ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Athletic career

Davy Commeyne became Belgian junior cyclocross champion in 1997 . The following year he won the bronze medal in the junior race at the Cyclocross World Championship in Middelfart . He was also first in the Ledegem-Kemmel-Ledegem road race . At the World Cross Country Championship in 2000, he won the silver medal in the U23 class. On the road, Commeyne won a stage in the Spar Arden Challenge in 2001 and was able to win the overall standings. In 2002 he again won the silver medal in the U23 race at the World Cross Championship.

Commeyne then signed a contract with the Belgian team Palmans-Collstrop . In 2008 he won a stage of the Bałtyk-Karkonosze Tour and in 2009 at Mi-Août Bretonne . In 2014 he finished his elite cycling career, but continues to compete in amateur races.
