The Dawston Burn is a watercourse in the Scottish Borders . He was born as Alison Sike east of Outer Knowe Head . As far as the mouth of the Hodgson Sike , it runs south, then it turns east to change again to a southerly direction after the mouth of the Abbey Sike . The Dawston Burn flows south of the settlement Saughtree into the Liddel Water .
