Day Six is a Dutch progressive metal and rock band that was formed in Someren in 2002 .
history
The band was formed in 2002. The debut album followed in October 2003 under the name Eternal Dignity . Various live performances followed, which they continued in the next year, with the group taking part in two Dutch band contests, the Metal Battle and the Aardschok Metal Bash. As a prize, the band received an opportunity to record songs in a professional studio for several days. This resulted in a demo, of which two songs should appear on the next album. The album Grand Design was mixed and mastered by Jochem Jacobs ( Split Second Sound , Textures ) and released worldwide on Lion Music in June 2010 . In the same year the band also made a tour of England . In 2011 the band toured the Netherlands and Germany together with Threshold . The band also played at the British Fused Festival with bands such as Threshold and Vanden Plas .
style
Playing progressive rock and metal, the band is described as a mix of Dream Theater , Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree .
