DeLaca Island is a small, U- shaped island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is located 1.3 km west of Bonaparte Point off the southwest coast of Anvers Island .

The island is one of two main areas of the United States Antarctic Research Program for the study of terrestrial arthropods in Antarctica . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1975 after the biologist Ted E. DeLaca of the University of California, Davis , who worked in the area between 1971 and 1974.
