De'Longhi is an Italian company founded in 1902 and based in Treviso . From a former workshop, De'Longhi quickly developed into an important supplier of individual components for the household appliance industry. The German branch is based in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main .
history
In 1977, the current president, Giuseppe De'Longhi, took over the management of the company and geared it towards the production and sale of mobile heating, air conditioning and household appliances under its own De'Longhi brand.
The group unites numerous subsidiaries under this umbrella brand. With the takeover of the English brand Kenwood in 2001, De'Longhi also gained international recognition.
De'Longhi has been a publicly traded company (De'Longhi Spa) since July 2001.
On April 18, 2007, a severe fire destroyed the production plant in Treviso.
Today the company has nine production facilities in northern Italy, which manufacture over six million devices in the various product areas per year. The company also has devices manufactured in the People's Republic of China and other low-wage countries . In 2010, over 7,000 employees generated sales of 1.626 billion euros in 80 export countries.
In 2012, the company acquired the rights to use the German brand Braun for certain household appliances from Procter & Gamble .
Product range
Today the brand is best known for fully automatic coffee machines , espresso machines and portafilter machines . In addition to the coffee product area, the Italian company offers kitchen appliances (toasters, deep fryers, kettles and electric ovens), household appliances (ironing stations, vacuum cleaners), heating and air conditioning devices (convectors, radiators, air humidifiers, air dehumidifiers, air purifiers).
