De Profvndis Clamati is a Brazilian funeral doom band.
history
De Profvndis Clamati was founded as an extreme metal band. With the entry of the singer and keyboardist Kleber Fainer in the spring of 2002, the band changed their style and increasingly focused on the Vision Fainers. After years of conflict and difficulty in the band, Fainer remained the only permanent member of the early band constellation. The group's publications were few.
The debut EP from 2011 In Between Passionate Minnuendos was released via FunerART posmoGROUP and in 2012 the album was supplemented by Moscow Funeral League Records . A labelless single from 2013 was re-released by Satanarsa Records in 2019 . The publications were rarely, but positively, received and discussed with praise.
style
The music played by De Profvndis Clamati is attributed to Funeral Doom . Reviewers describe the style presented as a combination of "dark and sad Doom Metal with neoclassical elements" and as Funeral Doom, which is to be recommended without reservation to fans of the genre. Performers such as Skepticism , Mournful Congregation , My Dying Bride , Empyrium , Agalloch and Wolves in the Throne Room are used for comparison .
In a review of In Between Passionate Minnuendos written for Doom-Metal.com , Dante DuVall describes the music as "structured around the rhythm" in every piece. These start with a moderate tempo typical for Funeral Doom and gradually increase to a climax that corresponds to the melodic modifications of Black Metal . Pianos, synthesizers, choirs and organs are the focus and are supplemented by simple repetitive guitar melodies. He describes the riffing as "very flaky and light" without any special occurrences. The singing varies between speaking, gargling, growling , moaning and croaking.
