Giovanni De Sandre (* 1935 in Sacile ) is an Italian computer scientist .
Life
De Sandre studied electrical engineering until 1959 (with the title “Attestato di studi elettronici” ) at the Politecnico di Milano . In 1960 he went to Olivetti , where he worked under Pier Giorgio Perotto on the Programma 101 project , a forerunner of the personal computer .
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the P101, he met with Gastone Garziera in 2015, the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi .
De Sandre provides an online simulator of the Olivetti Programma 101.
