Dead Man's Cave (also called Anston Stones Wood or Anston Stones Gorge) is a cave in North Anston, east of Sheffield in South Yorkshire in England .

Anston Stones Gorge is a valley surrounded by cliffs on the edge of the village of North Anston. Dead Man's Cave is high up on the south-facing cliff. George White excavated here from 1967–1968, followed by Paul Mellars (born 1939).

The artefacts found , flint knives and blades , are similar to those found in Creswell Crags between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire . Hunters and gatherers used the cave as a temporary storage facility 12,000 years ago.

The bones recovered in the debris are of various ages, including very new materials. The bones of the Ice Age belong to wild horses and reindeer . The radiocarbon dates show that reindeer lived in the area about 10,000 years ago after the last Ice Age.
