Dead Shape Figure is a Finnish melodic death and thrash metal band from Helsinki that was formed in 2003.

history

The band was founded in 2003 by singer Galzi Kallio, bassist Neissu, drummer A. Oxa and guitarist Juhani Flinck. In 2005 Erno Talvitie joined the band as the second guitarist. In 2004 the EP Tomorrow Changes Nothing was released . After sending a demo to various labels the following year, Oxa left the band in December 2005 and was replaced by Mohkis. Shortly thereafter, Talvitie left the band and was replaced by Kride Lahti. In 2006 the EP called 6 × 9 was released . Raikku Tuomikanto joined the cast as the drummer. After the band had reached a contract with Season of Mist , the debut album The Grand Karoshi was released in mid-May 2008 . The second album The Disease of St. Vitus was released in 2010 via Dynamic Arts Records .

style

The band plays a mixture of Thrash and Death Metal, but influences from bands like In Flames , Soilwork and The Haunted can also be heard.
