action

Jacob is an eccentric landscape photographer who regularly lures women into his studio in an abandoned warehouse and kills them with an injection. He then photographs the dead bodies of the women and attaches the prints to the back of his landscape photographs. Through his agent Richard, he receives the order to photograph a specific bridge on a specific day at 12:00. At this point, however, Aimee is on the bridge. One of Jacobs' principles is that he does not photograph living, "artificial" objects, so he asks Aimee to leave the bridge. The two start a conversation and Aimee is very interested in Jacob's job and desperately wants to see his studio. In the studio, Jacob tries to give Aimee the injection, but Aimee defends himself and in the course of a fight, Jacob loses consciousness, but apparently still manages to inject a sufficient dose. When he wakes up he finds that Aimee has collapsed in the warehouse courtyard while trying to escape. He drags her into his studio and tries to photograph her, which seems to cause some problems. In the middle of the shoot, he is disturbed by his father, who is trying to repair an old boiler in the warehouse. At this point in time, Jacob already had strange visions, which he blamed on his head injury.

When Jacob developed the footage of the bridge, Aimee can be seen in the picture, even though she was sitting next to him during the shoot. At Richard's insistence, he photographs the bridge one more time and meets Laura. For the photo of the bridge, Jacob gets the opportunity to exhibit his landscape pictures in the house of his client Steve. He finds out that Laura is married to Steve. At the exhibition, one of the guests (Tony) shows a noticeable interest in one of the pictures. Jacob does not want to sell, however, because there is still a picture of one of his victims in the frame. Tony follows Jacob to his studio, where he overpowers Jacob and reveals himself as a bounty hunter looking for one of Jacob's victims on behalf of his family. Jacob tricks Tony and kills him by biting his carotid artery.

Jacob's visions are getting worse and worse. His corpses seem to be self-sufficient and sometimes just disappeared. It also pieced together what happened immediately after the fight with Aimee. Jacob becomes more and more paranoid and eventually his agent Richard falls victim to him during a phone conversation with Laura. Jacob's father appears again and shows that he knows very well what Jacob is really doing. He then leads Jacob to his own corpse. Jacob also appears to have killed his father while watching the fight with Aimee. He says that he has no idea what form he would be talking to Jacob in. He hypothesizes that Jacob may not have survived the fight with Aimee, but that doesn't matter because "she" would finish him off tonight. Immediately thereafter, Laura appears in the warehouse and discovers Aimee's body. It turns out that Aimee was Laura's lover. It is now clear why Steve really wanted the photo of the bridge at this particular point in time. Jacob was a tool to kill his wife's mistress. Laura overpowers Jacob and kills him by putting him in a plastic bag and sucking the air out with a vacuum cleaner. The film ends while the camera slowly moves away from the dying Jacob.

Reviews

The lexicon of international film writes about the film: “A tightly staged independent horror film that is less indulgent in blood frenzy than it concentrates on creating an oppressive and lasting tension.” The film magazine Cinema attests: “A skilfully staged arc of suspense and remarkable acting make the psychological thriller worth seeing. Lean extras. "
