Deadache is the fourth studio album by the Finnish band Lordi , which was released on October 24, 2008 in Germany and released worldwide on October 31, 2008. As with "The Arockalypse", the costumes of the members were changed on "Deadache". The public release party was on October 31, 2008 at Club Tavastia in Helsinki , traditionally on Halloween. There were also numerous “Lordi Halloween Parties” in Germany, where you could get either free entry or a free drink with a mask from the digipack.

Lordi started with the recordings for Deadache on May 7th, 2008. For the new album the group had written 60 demos, of which the band chose 14 pieces to record.

The recordings were finished in August.

Band members Kita and Amen had this to say about Deadache:

[Kita] “It's an old title. The title means something. We had 60 songs and picked out 14. We had no special (musical) ideas about it. We just did what we wanted. Actually we never think! (laughs). "Amen:" We do what seems to be good. "

music

Deadache is a melodic hard rock album, but it contains more darker tones than Lordi's previous albums. All members contributed to the songs, a highlight is the song "The Rebirth Of The Countess", written by keyboardist Awa. This includes a part spoken in French. The song "Missing Miss Charlene" should also be mentioned, as Mr. Lordi composed this song with some friends from Rovaniemi at the age of 12.

The organ at the beginning and between the verses of the song "The Devil Hides Behind Her Smile" is taken from the "Phantom of the Opera".

MySpace Pre-Listening Session

On October 20th, 2008 Lordi announced that another Deadache title would be published daily on their Myspace page through October 24th.
