Babez for Breakfast is the fifth studio album by the Finnish hard rock band Lordi . It was released in September 2010.

Creation and publication

The album was recorded from February to March with Michael Wagener in Nashville , Tennessee , USA. Call Off the Wedding was co-written by Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick . Again, the band used revised costumes for the design and the subsequent tour. The first single, This Is Heavy Metal , was released as a digital single in advance on August 9, 2010, physically on August 16, 2010, but only as a collector's item with an edition of 200 copies. A limited edition was called The Breakfast Box and was released on October 18, 2010.

reception

The album reached number 66 in Germany and number nine in the charts in Finland. Allmusic's Greg Prato compared the album to 80s metal and hard rock and drew musical comparisons with Rob Zombie . He wrote that if you are just looking for the “shock in your skirt” you should stick to Lordi and Babez for Breakfast . If you want more rock in the equation, you have to look elsewhere. He awarded two and a half stars out of five.
