Deadman was founded in January 2001 by singer Mako, guitarists Aie and Yukino, all former members of the band Kein and drummer Toki, formerly Lamiel , in Nagoya .

On March 20, 2001, their first one-man live took place at ELL fits all Nagoya . The following month, the first single Subliminal Effect was released. Due to musical differences, Yukino moved to Gullet in late April 2001 . From then on, the band played on their lives with a substitute bassist until Takamasa from the band Lady joined Deadman in November 2001.

At the beginning of 2002 they also founded their fan club fuzz .
