Dean Edward Marney (born January 31, 1984 in Barking , England ) is an English football player . He plays at Fleetwood Town .

Player career

National

Dean Marney began his professional football career in 2002 at Tottenham Hotspur . There he was under contract for a total of four years, but only scored two goals in eight Premier League appearances. It had been awarded four times during his time in London (2002/03 to Swindon Town , 2004 to Queens Park Rangers and Gillingham FC, and 2005 to Norwich City ).

In the summer of 2006, Marney was signed by the second division club Hull City , where he made his breakthrough in paid football. With Hull, he was promoted to the Premier League in the 2007/08 season . On May 28, 2010, Marney was signed by Brian Laws from the English second division club and last season's Premier League relegated Burnley FC .

National team

In February 2005, Marney played his only international match for the England U21 national team .
