Deanna Lockett (born November 13, 1995 in Brisbane ) is an Australian short tracker .

Career

Lockett made her World Cup debut in October 2011 in Salt Lake City , which she finished 25th over 1500 m. In the following month she reached her first top ten placement in the World Cup with seventh place over 1000 m in Shanghai . At the 2012 Short Track World Championships in Beijing , she finished 38th in the all-around event and 20th in the 1500 m. The following year, she won the 1500 m at the Junior World Championships in Warsaw and the bronze medal in the 1500 m superfinal. Her best placement at the 2013 Short Track World Championships in Budapest was 12th place over 1500 m. In her first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , she came in 26th place over 1500 m and ninth place over 1000 m. In the 2014/15 season she came in ten World Cup participations, six times in the top ten and thus reached sixth place in the World Cup over 1500 m. At the 2016 World Championships in Seoul , she took 25th place over 500 m and 1000 m, 24th place in the all-around event and 15th place over 1500 m. Her best result at the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam was 12th place over 1500 m. In the 2017/18 season she came three times in the first place in the World Cup individual, including third place over 1500 m in Budapest and thus achieved seventh place in the World Cup over 1500 m.
