Death Mechanism is an Italian thrash metal band from Verona that was formed in 2003. The group has played with bands such as Bulldozer , Sadus , Sodom , Destruction , Tankard and Impaled Nazarene, among others .
history
The band was formed in February 2003 by guitarist and singer Alessandro Pozza after his previous band ODO broke up. A little later he started recording the first demo. For this, the drummer PiGy and the guitarist Miles were added. Then the ex-ODO drummer Rambo joined the cast in September 2003, before the bassist Daniele joined them. Concerts followed after a few rehearsals. In February 2004 the band recorded another demo with Necrotechnology . This was followed by other appearances, including as the opening act for Sadus. In 2006 Emanuele "Manu" Collato (Bulldozer) joined the band as the new drummer. In the same year the debut album Human Error… Global Terror was released via Thrash Massacre Records and Morbid Tales Records . The second album, Mass Slavery , was released by Jolly Roger Records in 2010 , before Pedro joined the line-up as the new bass player in 2011. In 2013 the album Twenty-First Century was released on Scarlet Records . The phonogram was produced by Tommy Vetterly ( Coroner , 69 Chambers ). He also contributed a guitar solo for the song Collapse 2000 AD .
style
According to Marc Halupczok from Metal Hammer , the band on Mass Slavery sound less influenced by bands like Coroner and Sadus, as the band claims, but much more by early Kreator and Sodom. The band is on a higher technical level, but its sound is trimmed to be old. According to Kai Krings from Metal Hammer, the band plays aggressive Thrash Metal on Twenty-First Century , which is very progressive for this genre .
