The dedo was a Spanish measure of length and corresponded to the measure of fingers and was the Spanish inch .

• 1 dedo = 12 linea or lines = 9 linea = 7 ⅞ Parisian lines = 0.018 meters

Since there were small and large Palmo , 4 dedos corresponded to the small and 12 to the large.

• 1 vara ( cubit ) = 48 dedos
• 1 braza or toesa = 96 dedos
• 1 codo = 24 dedos
• 3 pulgadas = 4 dedos
