Dee Hibbert-Jones

Dee Hibbert-Jones (* before 1984 in Manchester , England ) is a British- American video artist , animator , film producer and film director who received an Oscar nomination at the 2016 Academy Awards for her performance for the documentary Last Day of Freedom .

Life

Dee Hibbert-Jones received her Bachelor in Literature from the University of London in 1984 and later her Master of Arts from the University of Durham (1986) and from York University (1988) and a Master of Fine Arts from Mills College .

Since 2004 she has been working with the artist Nomi Talisman , whom she later married, both have a son. In addition to British citizenship, Hibbert-Jones also has US citizenship.

Hibbert-Jones and Talisman live in San Francisco .
