Deependra Bahadur Kshetry

Deependra Bahadur Kshetry (born May 3, 1949 in Syangja District ) is the head of the Central Bank of Nepal ( Nepal Rastra Bank ).

Life

In 1973, Deependra Bahadur Kshetry graduated from Tribhuvan University of Nepal with a master's degree in economics and two years later received a bachelor's degree in law . He later studied agricultural economics at the Australian University of New England , graduating in 1986 with a master's degree. From September 17, 1976 to February 20, 1977 Deependra Bahadur Kshetry was deputy head of the national trading company and then worked in the Agricultural Development Bank until July 14, 1977. From July 15, 1977 he was employed by the Nepal Rastra Bank, where he became the head of the general service department on May 1, 2004. During this time he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Rural Development Bank from 1995 to 1996 and of the Mid-Western Rural Development Bank from 2002 to 2004 . Kshetry became head of currency management at the central bank on May 13, 2007. At the same time, from May to October 2007, he was a member of the National Planning Commission. From January 15 to July 26, 2009 he was head of the Nepalese central bank and was replaced by Bijaya Nath Bhattarai .

Deependra Bahadur Kshetry is married and has three children.
