The Degener Verlag (proper spelling DEGENER Publishing ) is a specialist publisher for driving schools , traffic education and for the training of professional drivers , based in Hannover .
history
The family business was founded by Werner Degener in Hanover in 1934 and was called Degener Lehrmittel GmbH until the end of 2008 . The managing directors of the publishing house are Gloria Degener, daughter of the company founder, and Max-Georg Büchner and Michael Hühn.
Since the end of 2004 Degener has been supporting efforts to improve road safety in the People's Republic of China . The joint venture partner is a road safety institute that reports directly to the Chinese ministry. In coordination with the authorities, a German-Chinese editorial team is developing training materials for driving instructors and learner drivers , multimedia teaching software and other media for driver training and the promotion of road safety in China. One focus is on driving instructor seminars on the subjects of didactics, methodological diversity and multimedia driving school lessons .
Publishing program
The publishing house specializes in driving schools , driving instructor training centers and other training institutes in the field of traffic education , adult education and vocational schools . The program includes textbooks , specialist books , test and learning sheets, transparencies, videos, advertising material, organizational aids for driving school operations, driving school furniture, protective clothing, display boards, automotive models and electronic teaching media. PC programs, complete computer sets and presentation technologies are also available.
In addition to the driving school textbooks such as "Driving a car", "Driving a bus", "Driving a truck" and "Driving a motorcycle", the BKF library (for the training and further education of professional drivers) and the manuals "Driving school marketing" and "Driving school pedagogy" to the fixed publishing program.
