The Deichmühle in Haseldorf was a windmill built around 1540 in the municipality of Haseldorf and a historical landmark of the place. It was located between the old dike and the street dike row. In 2019 the building was completely demolished. There was also a field mill on Neuer Weg in the village , which also no longer exists today.

According to the village chronicle, the original dike mill burned down on Good Friday 1846 after a lightning strike . It was rebuilt as an octagonal building.

Around 1870, a steam mill with a high chimney was built next to the windmill . Their steam engine was replaced by an electric motor in 1929 . The buildings are largely preserved and in operation. The milling company was run by the Schuldt family, who also owned the mill stump. In 1909, the grandparents of the owners leased the Deichmühle and the Feldmühle from Prince Schoenaich-Carolath-Schilden from the Haseldorf Castle .

After the Second World War , the mill stump was converted for residential purposes. The old mill's wind turbines were dismantled in 1942. In 1952 a set designer from the Hamburg theater bought the mill from the estate management. In 1961 the building was sold to the family of the current owner.

After water damage, a stone wall was drawn around the walls of the mill to reinforce the wooden beams. This wall assessed the conservation authority as an intrusion into the historical building and refused to allow the building the monument . Another reason given was the lack of windmill blades.

At the beginning of 2019 an acute risk of collapse was identified during the assessment by experts . The Pinneberg disposal on this basis and against the will of the owner of the demolition of the building. The demolition work began on March 13, 2019.
