Dekehtik ( Dekehtik Island ), also known as Nanitak or Takatik , is a small island in the Federated States of Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean .
It belongs to the Micronesian state of Pohnpei and is located directly in front of the city of Kolonia on the north coast of the island of Pohnpei , to which it is connected via the 1.3 km long Dekehtik Causeway . It belongs administratively to the municipality ( municipality ) Net .
Dekehtik's terrain is very flat. The highest point on the island is only three to four meters above sea level. It extends over 1.2 kilometers in a north-south direction and 2.2 kilometers in an east-west direction. The island area is about 2.5 square kilometers.
The Pohnpei International Airport is located on Dekehtik . The runway of the small airport takes up the entire width of the island.
