Michel Delgiudice

Michel Delgiudice (* 1924 in Nice , France ; † December 2006 ) was a French composer and conductor .

He completed his music studies at the Conservatory of Nice with a major in clarinet and harmony . He also made private studies at the César Franck School in Paris with Henri Challan and Pierre Lantier .

He then joined a military music corps as a clarinetist . He quickly passed the military music director's examination and was then assigned to the music corps in Colomb-Béchar , Algeria , from 1959 to 1962 as a conductor. From 1962 to 1969 he was then transferred to a musical corps as a conductor in Marseille . Then he was deployed to two other music corps of the French troops in Germany: 1969 to 1971 in Berlin and 1971 to 1973 in Konstanz. In 1973 he retired.

From 1976 he was director of the music school in Amboise on the Loire. Since then he has also devoted himself increasingly to the enrichment of the wind orchestra literature.
