Delorean is a band from Zarautz , Basque Country , founded in 2000.
history
Delorean was founded in 2000 by singer and bassist Ekhi Lopetegi and drummer Igor Escudeo in Zarautz , Spain . Between 2004 and 2006 the band released two LPs and one EP that combined post-punk with elements of electro . After guitarist Tomas Palomo left the band in 2007 and was replaced by Guillermo Astrain, Delorean moved to Barcelona , where they increasingly worked on a more electronic sound. By remixing songs by u. a. Franz Ferdinand and The xx , the band gained increasing attention in the international music press. After worldwide concerts, etc. a. At the SXSW Festival in Austin , Texas , Delorean released a revised new edition of their second album in 2007 on the New York label Simple Social Graces. The Ayrton Senna EP followed in 2009 . In 2010 Delorean released their third album Subiza on the New York label True Panther Sounds.
