The Democratic Front for the Reunification of the country is a forced coalition of several parties in North Korea under the leadership of a Communist Unity Party , the Workers' Party of Korea ( WPK ).
It was founded on July 22, 1946.

It consists of the Labor Party of Korea and two other block parties, namely the Korean Social Democratic Party ( KSDP ) and the Young Friends of the Chŏndo Religion Party . The North Korean mass organizations are also members of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland .
These parties thus form a united front , also known as the national front . There is no opposition in the country. Despite the three parties, North Korea is de facto a one-party system .
