The State Dendrological Park Oleksandrija (Ukrainian Державний дендрологічний парк "Олександрія" Derschavnyj dendrolohichnyj park "Oleksandrija" ) is the dendrological park of the National City of Bila in the Zukerkrain of Ukraine .
The architecturally designed landscape park is one of the largest parks in Ukraine with an area of 400.67 hectares . Founded in 1788 by the family of the grand hetman of the Polish crown Franciszek Ksawery Branicki , the arboretum is the oldest in Ukraine and one of the oldest institutions of its kind in Europe. The park was named after the wife of the Grand Hetman Branicki, Alexandra Baronesse Engelhardt , a niece of the Russian Prince Potjomkin .
The park is located at an altitude of 80 m to 106 m on the right bank of the Ros River on the northwestern outskirts of Bila Tserkva in the Kiev Oblast .
The basis of the park is formed by a natural forest steppe landscape of oak forest combined with meadows and water areas. This natural landscape was combined with architectural structures such as pavilions, colonnades and bridges in a romantic style . There are 11 ponds and a museum established in 1962 on the territory of the park. There are around 5000 trees in the park that are over 200 years old. The park's collections include more than 2500 species of plants and taxa of woody and herbaceous plants.
The director of the park is the Doctor of Biological Sciences Serhiy Halkin ( Сергій Іванович Галкін ).
