Denis Carey
Denis Carey (born August 6, 1872 in Kilfinane , County Limerick , † March 1, 1947 ) was an Irish hammer thrower .
In 1893 he became British champion. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he finished sixth, starting for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland .
His cousin John Flanagan was a three-time Olympic champion in hammer throw.
