Denis Lunghi
Denis Lunghi (born January 21, 1976 in Biella , Italy ) is a former Italian cyclist .
After Lunghi won one stage each in the Giro delle Regioni and Giro Ciclistico d'Italia junior stage races in 1998 , he became a contract driver for Team Polti in 1999 , for which he was already a stagiaire at the end of the season . His first international victory among the elite was in 2000 at the Gran Premio Industria e Commercio Artigianato Carnaghese . Lunghi competed in the Giro d'Italia three times . He achieved his best placement in 2002 with rank 30, where he also achieved his greatest career success with the solo victories on the twelfth stage. After health problems, Lunghi retired in the 2004 season.
