Denis Tahirović (born July 16, 1985 ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

Tahirović began his professional career in January 2007 when he was appointed to the squad of the second team at FC Schalke 04 . Before that he worked there as a youth coach. For the 2007/08 season he moved to NK Primorje , where he came to ten inserts in the Slovenska Nogometna League and scored one goal. In the second half of the 2007/08 season he played for the Croatian club NK Virovitica , which he left after six months to move to Barcsi SC . He left this club in the summer of 2009 to play for the Bosnian clubs FK Sloboda Tuzla and NK Gradina Srebrenik in the 2009/10 season .

He later returned to Germany to work again in the amateur field as a trainer. First he was A youth coach at SG Wattenscheid 09 from 2011 to 2013 . He then took over the post of assistant coach at regional league club FC Kray for two years . In April 2016 he became Michael Lorenz's assistant trainer at SSVg Velbert , with whom he had already worked in Kray.

In September 2016, Tahirović became the head coach of the regional division FSV Duisburg .
