Denise Zimmermann (born August 5, 1988 in Mannheim ) is a former German figure skater .

Life

Denise Zimmermann started figure skating at the age of six at the Mannheim ERC . She initially trained with Günter Zöller , and since 2000 she has been supervised by the Baden-Württemberg state trainer Peter Sczypa . Her greatest successes were the national junior title in 2002 and the German runner-up in 2004, in the same year she took part in the junior world championships with the freestyle music The Prince of Egypt and finished 17th. In 2003 she became the Baden-Württemberg Women's Champion.

The runner ended her amateur career in summer 2007. After attending the Ludwig-Frank-Gymnasium in Mannheim, she completed a course to become a primary school teacher.

In June 2014 Denise Zimmermann married the multiple German figure skating champion Peter Liebers ; she has a son with her husband.
