The Denison Range is a mountain range in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania . The mountain range is part of the Great Dividing Range and is located in the eastern part of the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park , northeast of Lake Gordon .
Important mountains
The highest point is the Great Dome in the southern part , 1232 m high. Further north is Reeds Peak at 1166 m .
rivers and lakes
The upper reaches of the Gordon River flows along the east flank of the mountain range, the Pokana River and the Reeds Creek on its west flank. In the vicinity of the ridge there are numerous small glacial lakes, e.g. B. Lake Murray , Lake Rhona , Crooked Lake , Lake Wurawina , Hanging Lake , Lake Malana, and Lake Wugata .
