Dennis Deroey (born August 14, 1987 in Leuven ) is a Belgian volleyball player .

Career

Deroey started his career at Mitters Wespelaar . He later played for VC Heverlee before moving to Handelsgids Averbode . In the 2006/07 season, Averbode played in the CEV Cup , but was eliminated in the preliminary round despite the home advantage. In 2008/09, the club appeared again in the CEV Cup and lost in the first round to OK Budućnost Podgorica . Deroey then moved to Argex Duvel Puurs . In 2010 the outside attacker was signed by Belgian runner-up Noliko Maaseik . With Maaseik, Deroey became Belgian champions in 2011 and reached the second playoff round in the Champions League . The following season he played at Topsport Herk-de-Stad . In the summer of 2012 he moved to the German Bundesliga club evivo Düren . In 2013 Deroey returned to Belgium to his former club Argex Duvel Puurs.

In addition to his indoor career, Deroey also completed a number of FIVB and CEV beach volleyball tournaments . In 2012 he was in the final of the Belgian Beach Championship.
