Haacht is a municipality in the northern part of Dijlelandes in the province of Flemish Brabant in the Kingdom of Belgium . This municipality in Flanders has 13,894 inhabitants. It is located on the left bank of the Dijle and consists of the main town and the two districts Tildonk and Wespelaar .

Leuven is 12 kilometers southeast, Mechelen 13 km northwest, Brussels about 24 km southwest and Antwerp 30 km northwest.

The next motorway exits are at Weerde on the A1 / E 19 in the west and at Holsbeek on the A2 in the east.
The community has a regional train station on the Mechelen - Löwen railway line ; others are u. a. in Aarschot , Löwen, Kortenberg and Mechelen.
The nearest international airport is Brussels National Airport, approx. 13 km away, near the capital.
