Zaventem parish hall

Zaventem is a municipality in the central section of Dijleland in the province of Flemish Brabant in the Belgian region of Flanders . It includes the sub-municipalities of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem themselves.

The airport Brussels Airport is located partly in Zaventem and is therefore also Zaventem Airport called, and the motorway junction (Knooppunt Zaventem).

The twin town of Zaventem is Blankenheim and Availles-Limouzine in France.

education

Zaventem has different schools.

Including 3 urban primary schools, a primary school of the Flemish community and 3 free primary schools.

Zaventem also has two secondary schools and an academy for music, word and dance.

The "Brussels American School" is also located in Zaventem.

Infrastructure

Zaventem is the seat of many international companies, there are several industrial areas.

Highway

Zaventem is located on both the E40 / A3 with the Sterrebeek and Kraainem exits . The Sint-Stevens-Woluwe motorway junction is also located in the municipality. Here the E40 merges with the R0 (Brussels motorway ring ).

The R0 also runs past Zaventem and has two exits (Zaventem-Henneaulaan and the motorway feeder to the airport).

The A201 airport feeder leads directly in front of the airport terminal and has the Zaventem-Centrum exit.

Street

Zaventem is on the following national roads:

• N2-Brussels-Maastricht runs through Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Zaventem and Nossegem
• N262 connection route of the A201 with the N 2
• N227- Mechelen to Tervuren , runs through Nossegem and Sterrebeek.

bus

Zaventem is easy to get to by bus, as all bus routes either end or start at the airport. There are bus connections to Brussels , Mechelen , Leuven and the surrounding cities. The lines are operated by the De Lijn bus company .

railroad

There are three train stations in the municipality: Zaventem (village), Nossegem and the airport train station.
