The Belgian Ring 0 , also known as the (outer) Brussels Ring ( French : Ring de Bruxelles , Dutch : Grote Ring rond Brussel ), is a 75 km long city motorway around the Belgian capital, Brussels . The R0 begins at Leonardkruispunt in the south-east of Brussels in the transition from the A4 from Arlon and Luxembourg . Gradually, there will be junctions with the A3 motorways from Liège and Aachen ( Germany ), A201 from the airport and A1 from Breda ( Netherlands ), at the Zaventem intersection and Machelen intersection. The A12 from Antwerp connects at the Strombeek-Bever junction . From the Groot-Bijgaarden junction, the A10 leads towards Ostend on the Belgian coast. In the southwest, the A8 motorway branches off towards Tournai and Lille ( France ).

The Haut-Ittre junction in the south leads the A7 towards Paris . The ring road ends near Waterloo . An average of 170,000 vehicles per kilometer travel the ring every day, which means that the ring is usually completely overloaded during rush hour .

There is also an inner ring in Brussels. The "small ring" or "petite ceinture" runs in the area of the former city wall and is well developed as a wide road and tunnel.
