The Belgian Autobahn 4 , also on French. Autoroute 4 or Dutch Called Autosnelweg 4 , it connects Brussels with Arlon and Luxembourg .
The 188 km long motorway begins at Leonardkruispunt and leads via Overijse , Wavre , Namur and Arlon to the border crossing to Luxembourg .
The route between Leonardkruispunt and exit 32 (Weyler), the motorway 4 runs parallel to the European route 411 , and between the motorway triangle with the A26 at Neufchâteau and the border crossing from Luxembourg , the motorway runs parallel to the European route 25 . In addition, at the Libramont-Chevigny junction , the European route 46 between Reims and Liège crosses .
The motorway runs through the Ardennes. That is why it is called Autoroute des Ardennes from Namur to Neufchâteau .
For the Belgians and the Dutch, the motorway serves as a direct connection to Luxembourg and all of southern Europe. It is therefore also called the Autoroute du Soleil from Neufchâteau to the border crossing to Luxembourg.
From 2004 to 2006 the A4 was largely completely renovated.
