Zemst is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 23,358 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). In addition to the main town, it consists of the districts Elewijt , Eppegem , Hofstade , Weerde , Zemst-Laar and Zemst-Bos .

Mechelen is four km north, the city center of Brussels about 16 km south and Antwerp 26 km north.

The next highway exits are located in the district of Weerde and Mechelen on the A1 / E19 .

The nearest regional train stations on the Brussels - Antwerp line are in the districts of Eppegem and Weerde .

Brussels National Airport near the capital and 10 km south of Zemst is an international airport.
