Dennis Gladiator (born June 10, 1981 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). Since March 2011 he has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Professional career

After graduating from Luisen-Gymnasium in Hamburg-Bergedorf in 2001, Gladiator did community service at the Körber Foundation. Gladiator studied political and administrative sciences at the Distance University in Hagen .

Political career

Gladiator has been a member of the CDU since 2000. In 2001 he joined the Junge Union . From 2001 to 2005 he was district chairman of the Junge Union Bergedorf and from 2002 to 2004 he was secretary in the local executive committee of the CDU Bergedorf. He has been a member of the Bergedorf District Assembly since September 2001 , where he sits on the committees for traffic and interior affairs, youth welfare and the main committee. From 2008 to 2011, Gladiator was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Bergedorf district assembly; before that, from 2004 to 2008 he was already active as deputy chairman. Since 2005 he has also been the district chairman of the Bergedorfer CDU and a member of the state board of the CDU Hamburg. He has been a member of the CDU's Federal Interior Affairs Committee since 2014.

In the run-up to the state elections in Hamburg in 2011 , Gladiator was elected by the constituency assembly with 94.9 percent of the votes to be number one on the constituency list for the constituency of Bergedorf . In the election on February 20, 2011, he won a direct vote in Hamburg's citizenship with 9.0 percent of the vote . In the 2015 general election , Gladiator again achieved a direct mandate in his constituency with 28,104 votes. In the citizenry he is a member of the parliamentary control committee of the Senate in the field of the protection of the constitution and of the commission for the implementation of the law on the restriction of the secrecy of letters, mail and telecommunications. On February 23, 2020, Gladiator again succeeded in entering the Hamburg citizenship .
