Dennis Krause (born November 3, 1987 in Loerrach ) is a German handball player . He is 2.03 m tall and weighs 107 kg. Krause, who plays for RTV 1879 Basel , is mostly used in the left back space.

Career

Dennis Krause started playing handball at ESV Weil am Rhein before he was spotted for the SC Magdeburg talent factory at the age of 15 . With the Elbstadt team he became captain of the German A youth championship, and in 2006 the talent switched to the 2nd handball league for SV Anhalt Bernburg . After only one year he returned to Magdeburg, but this time to the first men's team, the SC Magdeburg Gladiators. From 2011 to 2013 he played for VfL Gummersbach . With this he reached the final of the EHF Cup against Flensburg-Handewitt.

Krause moved to HSG Wetzlar for the 2013/14 season.

For the 2014/2015 season, Krause moved to the United Arab Emirates to the Al Ain Club . This season Krause was the top scorer in the league. For the 2015/2016 season, Krause joined the Sheik Club Al-Ahli Dubai and won the UAE CUP with his team. In summer 2018 he joined the Swiss club RTV 1879 Basel .

With the German U21 national junior team, he was European champion in 2006 and vice world champion in 2007.
