Dennis Lawrence (born August 1, 1974 in Morvant ) is a Trinidadian football coach and former football player.
Life
The defender played in soccer clubs in Trinidad and Tobago until 2001, after which he moved to Wrexham in the English soccer league 2. Since March 18, 2000 national player, he has completed almost 90 international matches by the end of his career. With the national team he won the Caribbean championship in 2001. It was also he who scored the only goal of the evening in Bahrain in 2005, securing the 2-1 win for his team in two legs, which made it possible for them to participate in the 2006 World Cup . In 2009 he moved back to Trinidad to join San Juan Jabloteh for a year .
In 2010, Lawrence ended his career as a footballer and coached the English club Wigan Athletic . Since January 2017 he has been the coach of the Trinidadian national soccer team .
