Dennis Daniel Nawrocki (born December 8, 1992 in Braunschweig ) is a German - Polish basketball player. The 1.93 meter tall winger is under contract with Science City Jena .
career
Nawrocki, whose family comes from Poland , went through his basketball training at SG Braunschweig and in January 2010 moved to the Duke Wolfenbüttel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . He developed into the regular strength of the Okerstädter and was signed by the Cuxhaven BasCats in 2013 , so he made the leap into the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . After two years in Cuxhaven, Nawrocki joined VfL Kirchheim in 2015 (also 2. Bundesliga ProA). In 2016 he moved back to his hometown, where he strengthened SG Braunschweig and, as the team's best scorer in the 2016/17 season, led them to the league championship and thus to promotion to the 2nd regional league. In addition, he and the team won the Cup competition of the Lower Saxony Basketball Association. In preparation for the 2017/18 season, he was also temporarily employed by the SG's cooperation partner, the first division basketball Löwen Braunschweig . At the beginning of November 2017 he made his debut in the basketball league in the lion's shirt .
He played a total of 55 Bundesliga games for the Lions by the end of the 2018/19 season. In June 2019 he was signed by the Bundesliga relegated Science City Jena and thus followed coach Frank Menz from Braunschweig to Thuringia. Nawrocki scored 14 points per game over the course of the 2019/20 season, making him the second best German scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA.
