Denys Proshayev

Denys Proshayev (* 1978 in Brest (Belarus) ) is a Ukrainian pianist and conductor who was born in Belarus and lives in Germany.

Life

Denys Proshayev began taking piano lessons at the age of nine. He was taught a. a. by Marina Krajsman , Irina Lipatova and Leonid Fundiller and from 1992 at the Musical High School in Kiev . Since 1998 he has been studying with Vladimir Krajnev at the Hanover University of Music and Theater . There he began conducting studies with Eiji Ōue and Martin Brauss in 2001 .

Denys Proshayev is a lecturer at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar . He now also teaches piano at the Rhineland-Palatinate State Music School .

Appearances as a pianist

Denys Proshayev can u. a. has already attended concerts with the Munich Philharmonic, the Frankfurt Museum Orchestra, the Danish National Orchestra, the SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, the MDR Sinfonieorchester, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, the HR-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, the Czech Philharmonic, the Kremerata Baltica, the Orquesta Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, the Orquesta Sinfònica de Barcelona and the Saint Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and worked with a large number of conductors. B. with Gerd Albrecht , Philippe Entremont , Eiji Ōue , Michael Sanderling , Karl-Heinz Steffens and Stanislaw Skrowaczewski .

Denys Proshayev brought his skills as a soloist a. a. Already heard in piano recitals in the Berlin Philharmonie, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Salzburg Mozarteum , the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt and the Konzerthaus Dortmund and has performed at internationally renowned music festivals, e.g. B. at the Ruhr Piano Festival , the MDR Music Summer and the Mozart Festival in Würzburg.

Performances as a conductor

Denys Proshayev was appointed guest conductor by the Lviv City Philharmonic Orchestra at the beginning of the 2010/2011 season .

Awards

Denys Proshayev achieved numerous successes in international piano competitions. In particular, the Ettlingen Piano Competition , the International Clara Haskil Piano Competition in Vevey, the Federal University Competition in Rostock , the Ettore Pozzoli Piano Competition in Seregno , the European Piano Competition in Bremen in 2001 and the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2002 should be mentioned .

Denys Proshayev was awarded the Wilhelm Weichsler Music Prize of the city of Osnabrück in 2003. In 2004 he received the Soloist Prize at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival .

He was also awarded a scholarship from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe.

Discography

In 2006 Sony released a CD with works by Jean-Philippe Rameau.
