The Club Atlético Deportivo Paraguayo shortly Deportivo Paraguayo called, is a football club from Buenos Aires , who on August 15, 1961 was established. At the moment the club does not have its own football stadium and therefore uses the stadium of the Club Social y Deportivo Liniers from San Justo .

history

The association was founded in 1961 and settled in the Constitución district in the mid-1980s . The club initially focused on football , but from the mid-1980s it changed under the influence of immigrants and since then has also offered other sports.

In the course of the club's history it has always been uphill and downhill. The greatest success was recorded in the 1991/92 season, when mainly by "Ciego" ("The Blind") García the promotion to the Primera C succeeded. Paradoxically, it was this player who later started legal proceedings against his club that Deportivo are still trying to pay off.

One of the club's greatest players is Julio César Dely Valdés , who later played in Cagliari , Paris , Oviedo and Málaga and enjoyed many successes. Another big player is the current left winger from Banfield , Cristian Tavio , born Argentine, son of Paraguayan parents.
