Depot II in Hluboká nad Vltavou
The depot of Hluboká nad Vltavou (also Hortfund of Hluboká nad Vltavou ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Hluboká nad Vltavou in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The preserved objects from the depot are now in the South Bohemian Museum in Budweis .
Find history
The depot was discovered in 1974 during excavation work on the edge of a fish pond.
In 1935 and 1985, two other Aunjetitz culture depots ( Depot I and Depot III ) were discovered in Hluboká . Depot III was found just 30 m north of Depot II.
composition
The depot originally consisted of around 20 bronze eyelet neck rings . A ring with broken eyelets and three other fragments are now in the museum in Budweis. The remaining items are lost.
