It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is now in the South Bohemian Museum in Budweis .

Find history

The depository was discovered in 1935 north of Hluboká in the Stará obora forest by the amateur researcher A. Schwarzenberg. Schwarzenberg examined a total of eight burial mounds at this point , which date from the Bronze Age to the Hallstatt Age. However, he left no excavation documentation. The depot was found in Hill I along with jewelry.

In 1974 and 1985 two other Aunjetitz culture depots ( Depot II and Depot III ) were discovered in Hluboká .

composition

The depot consists of four bronze bars . According to Václav Moucha , it was probably mixed with jewelry and added to a burial from the earlier Bronze Age.
